Sroka was accompanied by 25 other representatives of Polish culture who received this highest honour issued in Poland for persons and organizations for distinguished contributions to, or protection of the Polish culture and the people's
heritage.
The group of this year's Gloria Artis recipients awarded with medals on 21 October 2015 included Director of Polish Film Institute Magdalena Sroka, film director Władysław Pasikowski and singer and actor Justyna Steczkowska. "Each creator is
a guide who leads trough culture. And this guidance must reach the hearts and minds of people coming from very different views, tastes and preferences. The most important thing from a social point of view is that the citizens participate in culture. You are all important and this is what matters to me most today. You are changing the Polish reality and the way Poles treat culture" said the Minister of Culture Małgorzata Omilanowska during her speach.
