The Polish Film Institute continues to be the main source of production and film promotion funding in Poland. In 2015, the Institute granted 102 m PLN (23.4 m EUR) for film production. The first session for the Operation Programme Film Production launched on 14 December and will be open till 7 January 2016. The second session will take place between 1 and 15 April 2016 and the third between 1 and 15 August 2016. The Institute also provides funding for education and film culture popularization, cinema development and promotion of Polish cinema abroad. The Institute announced a full list of experts who will judge the projects applying for financing, approved by the Minister of Culture and National Heritage Piotr Gliński.
