TVP Info Expands to Europe, South Africa and Asia

WARSAW: New President of Polish public television, Jacek Kurski, decided that TVP Info will start emitting a decoded signal through Hot Bird satellite, which expands its reach to Europe, South Africa and part of Asia.

According to TVP representatives, the change is an answer to the request of the Polish community living abroad. The change was introduced on 22 January 2016.

TVP Info is a Polish news channel, dedicated to news programmes, airing nationwide news bulletins from 6:00 to 23:30 CET. The channel launched in 2007, currently holds 2.7% of the TV market share and is available in 99.5% of Poland's territory.

TVP Info was previously available in Poland via digital terrestrial television as well as through cable and satellite providers.
