"The introduction of the new bill will double the income connected to film production, which is now 32 m EUR /140 m PLN and is provided by the Polish Film Institute annually", deputy Culture Minister Jarosław Sellin said in an official statement. "We want Poland to be a location not only for domestic productions, but also for major international films", he added.
The production incentives would be managed and assigned by a new institution, the Polish Audiovisual Fund. The new bill is currently in the consultation stages with plans for final introduction by the end of 2017.
