"The God's Plan will not be naive, stupid and sentimental. It will be real. I decided that now is the time and the place to make a film about real emotions, about the search for love and how that is not easy at all", Kinga Dębska told FNE.

The script written by Karolina Szablewska comprises events leading up to Valentine’s Day. The cast includes popular Polish actors Kinga Preis, Marcin Dorociński, Edyta Olszówka, Roma Gąsiorowska and Krzysztof Stelmaszyk.

Agora is producing. The budget has not been disclosed. Next Film will release the film on 14 February 2018.

Kinga Dębska gained both critical and commercial acclaim with her 2016 drama These Daughters of Mine (Kalejdoskop Film Studio), that occupied the sixth position in the Polish film box office with 734,706 tickets sold.

Scriptwriter Karolina Szablewska is most recognised for her work on Letters to Santa (TVN), a romantic comedy that topped the Polish box office in 2011 with over 2.5 m admissions.
