Juliusz is the story of a calm and collected art teacher, whose main problem in life is his father, a wild-spirited painter who refuses to slow down his crazy lifestyle even when he has a second heart attack. The all-star cast includes Wojciech Mecwaldowski, Jan Peszek and Anna Smołowik, accompanied by Jerzy Skolimowski, Andrzej Chyra and Maciej Stuhr.
The film is directed by Aleksander Pietrzak and produced by Radosław Drabik and Michał Chaciński and their company Gigant Films, makers of 2016 Polish box office hit Planet Single, which had 1,926,090 admissions to date. The script was written by Polish stand-up comedians Abelard Giza and Kacper Ruciński, with Łukasz Światowiec, Michał Chaciński and Radosław Drabik. The DoP for this film is Mateusz Pastewka.
The film is privately funded and the final budget has not been announced. The shoot for the film took place between 5 September and 7 October 2017 on location in Warsaw. The comedy is currently in post-production.
The film will be distributed in Poland by Kino Świat.
