The same well-known characters, including the Parson, Commandant and Mayor, return in the idyllic landscape of Podlasie, but this time the intrigue revolves around the arrival of a young archeology student whose plans are to search the dungeon under the church in the town of Królowy Most. 

The main characters are played by Andrzej Seweryn, Andrzej Zaborski, Krzysztof Dzierme and Ryszard Doliński. The late star of Bromski's films, Emilian Kamiński, was also part of the project, which will include the scenes that were finalised before the actor's death.

The film and TV series are produced by the Documentary and Feature Film Studio (WFDiF) in coproduction with Telewizja Polska S.A., with co-financing from the Polish Film Institute. The final budget has not been disclosed yet.

The TV series will be aired on TVP.

The premiere of both the feature film and TV series is scheduled for the end of 2023.
