The director has worked as an assistant director for several of Holland's movies, including The Secret Garden, Julie Walking Home, Copying Beethoven. and currently on The True Story of Jura Janosik and Tomasz Uhorczik. She was the co-producer of The Brothers Karamazov, which is also screening in the Gdynia festival competition.
The Offsiders was produced by Tor Film Studio in cooperation with The Documentary and Feature Films Studio, Non Stop Film Service and public TV. The producer is Krzysztof Zanussi. The film was shot by the distinguished Polish cinematographers, Jacek Petrycki, who had collaborated with Krzysztof Kieslowski. The score was written by Adamik's cousin Antoni Lazarkiewicz, a successful composer living in Germany.
The budget was over 7 million zlotys, 2.3 million of which was provided by the Polish Film Institute. The Offsiders will open at Polish cinemas on 10 October 10, and will be distributed by Gutek Film.
