The first project is a comedy, How To Get Rid Of Cellulite, scheduled to start shooting in the summer of 2010. The director characterizes his new film as a twisted comedy about female friendship. Two friends Maja and Ewa meet a beautiful massage therapist Kornelia in a luxurious spa. Their new acquaintance draws them into a whirl of crazy adventures during which it becomes clear that a pushy guy is like cellulite: hard to get rid of.
"I believe that How to Get Rid of Cellulite, which we are co-producing with Warner Bros.(wwws.pl.warnerbros.com), has a comedy potential equally to Ladies. I love to make films about women and for them, because this is the most graceful topic and audience. The heroes of How To Get Rid Of Cellulite are girls who are not afraid of difficult challenges and keep their head up high while facing men, having fun at the same time. They are full of free flowing fantasy and charm, they are intelligent and sneaky-- there is no way not to love them," Saramonowicz said.
Saramonowicz is an accomplished Polish filmmaker and writer of the record-breaking 2008 Polish comedy Ladies with over 2.6 million viewers. He also co-produces his new project with his company San Graal. "Andrzej Saramonowicz is an exeptionally talented screenwriter, director and producer, so we are thrilled with the possibility to produce How To Get Rid Of Cellulite, our first joint production. The co-operation with Andrzej Saramonowicz is an important point in Warner Bros.' strategy on the local market. This project reflects our ambition to create and distribute Polish films that are distinguished by artistic quality, critical acclaim and commercial success," said Richard J. Fox, vice chairman of Warner Bros. International.
The agreement between Warner Bros. and San Graal includes the production of at least two Polish-language productions that will be distributed on the local market. The premiere of the first film is planned for February 4, 2011.
