Women Are Somehow Different (Baby są jakieś inne) is produced by Studio Filmowe KADR (www.kadr.com.pl) with a budget of 4.6 million PLN (1.1 million PLN). The movie recieved 2.5 million PLN from the Polish Film Institute (www.pisf.pl).
Koterski, the director of several critically and audience acclaimed Polish dark comedies such as Porno, Nothing Funny about Life and Day Of The Wacko, calls his new project an "antifilm." The script follows the road trip of two men, and the camera will rarely leave the car. The comedy will focus on male and female steroypes that have taken over modern relationships between man and women.
The lead male roles are played by Robert Więckiewicz and Adam Woronowicz who are accompanied by Małgorzata Bogdańska. The cast of the film also includes the director's son, actor and comedian Michał Koterski. The cinematographer is Jerzy Zieliński, currently living and working in Hollywood. The co-producer of the film is renowned Polish actor Marek Kondrat, a frequent lead actor in Koterski's films.
The Polish premiere of the picture is planned for 2011.
