Leading the list were Kiss of Evil distributed by Nordisk Film with nearly 205,000 admissions, followed by the Le Havre released by Future Film with over 110,000 admissions. Also performing strongly are Garter Snake (Nordisk, 87,000 admissions), Hella W (SMD, 85,000), and Six Pack and Girls of April nearly tied at 78,000 admissions (both released by Nordisk). Hustlers (Nordisk) picked up another 75,000 admissions in 2011, for a total of 113,000. No other film broke the 50,000 marker.
Distributors do not expect 2011 to challenge the record breaking numbers of 2010, when the top box office films easily exceeded 250,000 admissions, but point out that admissions are already past 2009's numbers, with another month to go and four more Finnish films of diverse genres arriving in cinemas. Those are Silence (a war drama), The Italian Key (a romantic fairytale), Mr. Hayhill (a family film), and The Storage (a comedy).
