Each year Film Festival Cottbus presents a selection of modern cinema from the Central and Eastern European region and offers film professionals from CEE countries an excellent industry meeting platform - Connecting Cottbus.
In addition the the main competition nine productions from seven countries will be presented in the Short Film Competition. Each year the festival gives twenty awards which are valued at almost 74,000 EUR.
The 24th Film Festival Cottbus will take place between 4 and 11 November 2014. The event is supported by the State of Brandenburg, the Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg GmbH, the City of Cottbus, Vattenfall, Creative Europe - MEDIA and others.
