"The master class exceeded my expectations. At the beginning, I have to admit, I was a bit sceptical about what exactly it was going to be and if it was worth participating. But from the first day, all these doubts disappeared and were replaced by excitement. Matthias comes from very interesting backgrounds (philosophy, psychology, linguistics), and all this combined offers a very different and new approach that one can use in story-telling. Even more though, I think Matthias opens up your mind to life skills and tools which can be applied not only to one's work but to one's life."

Some news of two projects explored in Structural Constellations
We told you last summer that Cyril Schäublin’s film DENE WOS GUET GEIT (‘Those who are fine’, 71 minutes), which had been worked on during the workshop Structural Constellations in 2015, was awarded with a special mention of the Jury (First Feature) at the Locarno Film Festival in 2017.
The film continues its career: it was nominated for the Swiss Film Award in the category «Best Fiction Film», has been selected for the competition at the San Francisco International Film Festival and the Edinburgh International Festival and is invited to several other festivals (Rotterdam, Bilbao, Sao Paolo …). It is now released in fifteen Swiss movie theatres.
Cyril Schäublin participated again in Structural Constellations in 2017, together with Silvan Hillmann (photographer and producer of DENE WOS GUET GEIT), in order to explore their next fiction film project.
The feature-length documentary SOUND MAN by Polish film director Maja Baczyńska and producer Malgorzata Wabińska (Entertain Pictures), discussed in the Master Class in 2017, received subsidy from the Polish Film Institute. The producer writes „Thanks to the participation in the Structural Constellations workshop, we can look at the project, the characters and the relationships between them from many different angles. It is interesting to be inside the project, in the literal sense of the word, and to experience from the perspective of one personage a situation that can likely happen between the characters. It is especially fascinating in a documentary project. This is an enriching experience not only for a director and a screenwriter, but also for a producer who can see the full potential of the project. The workshops are extremely inspiring, unlocking and awareness-raising since we can realize how many signals we send without being aware of it. These workshops are certainly unique and can also deepen our knowledge about ourselves.”
