FNE at Cannes 2024: Films from FNE Partner Countries Selected for Cannes Short Film Competition and La Cinef

    PARIS: Films by Lithuanian Eglė Razumaitė and Croatian Nebojša Slijepčević have been selected for the Short Film Competition of the 77th Cannes Film Festival, while a film from Czech student Pola Kazak will run in the La Cinef competition.

    Eleven titles were chosen from among 4,420 films for the Short Film Competition, whereas 2,263 student films applied to La Cinef, of which 18 titles ended up in the selection.

    Serbian film director Vladimir Perišić is a member of the jury for both competitions, which is headed by Lubna Azabal and also composed by Marie-Castille Mention-Schaar, Paolo Moretti and Claudine Nougaret.
