Austrian TV looks for expansion in Central Europe

The Austrian Broadcasting Service (ORS), which controls the transmission towers of Austrian public broadcaster ORF, is bidding on expansions in Central European territories.

According to followthemedia.com, a November 21 vote by the ORF board of trustees gives ORS the go-ahead to big on one digital television multiplex in Bulgaria and two in Slovakia. Austrian TV has seen local advertising revenues fall after the surge in German TV broadcasters in recent years.
