The Womb is included in the ScripTeast programme for scriptwriters in Central and Eastern Europe, which concluded its first stage in Sterdy, Poland, on Oct. 14. "The Polish producers from Apple Tree were fast and supportive, and when I mentioned my wishes, they gave me a car and a driver and told me to go and see for myself," Fliegauf explained. His main location for the film will be the Baltic-Nordic seaside, and both Germany and England are involved in the production, "but Poland is definitely an option."
Fliegauf, whose Dealer (2004) won prizes at 15 international festivals, works as writer, director, sound and set designer. Milky Way was, "as every free-spirited film, shot on a low or rather on a no-budget, so we had to use locations near Budapest. First it seemed impossible, because I had very special landscapes in mind, but in the end I was very happy with the result."
