ScripTeast session wraps at Berlinale

    The 12 participants in the current edition of ScripTeast, a training program for scriptwriters from Central and Eastern Europe, have completed three days of meetings at the Berlinale and are back at work on their scripts. The final versions will be ready before the Cannes Film Festival in May, where the best script will be presented with the Krzysztof Kieslowski Award.

    In Berlin the participants had individual meetings with the Heads of Studies of the current edition - Tom Abrams (professor at the School of Cinematic Arts at the University of Southern California) and Christian Routh (script consultant, editor and lecturer) analyzing their scripts.

    ScripTeast (www.scripteast.eu) participants also had a pitching session with Sibylle Kurz, who is one of the best specialists in this field, and attended discussions with Mike Leigh, Sandy Lieberson and Iain Smith organised by Talent Campus.

    Menwhile, applications for the next edition of ScripTeast are being accepted until May 30.

    ScripTeast is organised by The Independent Film Foundation and supported by The Media Plus Programme, Polish Film Institute, Polish Television (TVP) and Apple Film Production, with the partnership of the European Film Academy, Ateliers du Cinéma Européen, e-Talenta and festivals in Berlin, Cannes and Karlovy Vary.
