BUDAPEST: HBO announced the promotion of Ondrej Zach to Senior Vice President, Programming and Acquisitions, for HBO Central Europe. In addition, HBO has appointed Ivan Sevcik as HBO Czech Republic and Slovakia Country Manager, effective 1 June 2011.
Zach also retains the position of Executive Director, HBO Czech Republic.
Sevcik was formerly Chairman of the Board at Axel Springer Praha. He has a Master's degree from the University of Economics in Prague.
HBO Central Europe provides basic and premium channels to 14 countries in the region, including: Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Romania, Bulgaria, Moldova, Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Kosovo, Montenegro, Macedonia and Bosnia.
The Film New Europe (FNE) Association is the networking platform for film professionals in the CEE/SEE/Baltics region. The webportal and FNE newswire was chosen as the MAIN TOOL to achieve the network’s objectives of the sharing of know how, visibility of regional cultural diversity and finally the VOICE of the region.
