The competition has an emphasis on films from Europe, with two Russian entries, as well as competition films from CEE territories Poland, Bulgaria, Georgia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Serbia, and Austria. The international jury includes Geraldine Chaplin, Amos Gitai, Arturo Ripstein and Nikolai Dostal.
The festival will open with the world premiere of Transformers 3: Dark of the Moon directed by Michael Bay. The closing film is The Debt starring Helen Mirren and directed by John Madden.
