BUCHAREST: Bestselling writer Dacre Stoker, the great-grand-nephew of Bram Stoker, is preparing Dracula Meets Stoker, a docu-feature in 3D planned for release in 2012 on the occasion of the centennial of Bram Stoker's death.

The film will be released at the same time as Dacre Stoker's eponymous book.

Dracula Meets Stoker is produced by the Spanish station CIN.TV (www.cintv.tv), part of Grupo Vértice (www.grupovertice.com), together with Dacre Stoker, and is supported by Iniciativa Mercurio (www.iniciativamercurio.com). Christopher Lee will narrate the 90 min HD film that will focus on the travel of Dacre Stoker to the sites where the famous novel Dracula originated. It will encompass the myth of Dracula, as well as the history of Dacre Stoker's family. The budget is 2.7 million euro.

The dates of the shooting are to be confirmed, but the representatives of CIN.TV told FNE that they have decided to shoot in several locations in Romania, including Bucharest and surroundings, Bran Castle and Târgovişte. The Spanish producer has not disclosed the name of the Romanian partner.
