The film will be distributed in Romania by Independenţa Film.

When Evening Falls on Bucharest or Metabolism, previously known as A Nine-Minute Interval, a Romanian-French coproduction from Marcela Ursu of Romania’s 42km Film and Sylvie Pialat of the French company Les Films du Worso, follows a film director as he is shooting a new movie while having an affair with the main actress.

Bogdan Dumitrache (Child’s Pose) and newcomer Diana Avrămuţ play the main characters.

This is the first feature shot by Porumboiu in Bucharest, outside his hometown of Vaslui, in autumn 2012.

The Romanian premiere is set for 20 September 2013.
