Just days earlier, on 12 December, it had moved the 13 December deadline to 14 February 2014, stirring discontent among the filmmakers who have been waiting for a year to fund their projects and who would miss the deadlines for Creative Europe - MEDIA and Eurimages in February and March 2014.

The CNC will give out 6.7m EUR/30m RON in the first session of the grants contest in 2013, which is three times as much as in its previous session. There will be two grant sessions in 2014, which will open on 12 May and 12 November 2014.
