Child's Pose (Parada Film) was also awarded best director, best script (Răzvan Rădulescu and Călin Peter Netzer), best leading actress (Luminiţa Gheorghiu), best supporting actress (Ilinca Goia), best supporting actor (Vlad Ivanov), best editing (Dana Bunescu), best sound and the Audience Award for the domestic film with the best box office in 2013, coming in at 1,248,126 RON/278,200 EUR.
Victor Rebengiuc was awarded best leading actor for The Japanese Dog/Câinele japonez by Tudor Cristian Jurgiu and produced by Libra Film. Igor Cobileanschi's The Unsaved/La limita de jos a cerului (Saga Film) was awarded best debut and best cinematography (Oleg Mutu). Alex Maftei's Miss Christina/Domnişoara Christina (Abis Studio) was awarded for score, costumes and make up, and Adrian Sitaru's Domestic (4Proof Film) was awarded for art direction.
Tom Wilson's The Bucharest Experiment/Experimentul Bucureşti (TWFilms) was awarded best long documentary, and The Vibration/Vibraţia by Germain Kanda won best short documentary. Radu Jude's Shadow of a Cloud/O umbră de nor received the prize for best short fiction film. DoP Tudor Panduru received the Revelation of the Year award for the cinematography of the short fiction film The Black Brigade/Brigada neagră. Michael Hanake's Amour was voted best European film distributed in Romanian cinemas in 2013.
Tudor Giurgiu, the head of Romanian Film Promotion and Transylania IFF announced the launch of the campaign Save the Big Screen/Salvaţi marele ecran aiming to retrace the memories of the 450 cinemas that existed before 1989. People are invited to share stories and photos, and with the support of the National Centre for Cinema, GAV and Filmmakers' Union (UCIN) five or six old cinemas could be renovated in two years.
Only 10 old cinemas were renovated in the last 20 years. Of the 450 cinemas opened before 1989, only some 30 are still operating, excluding multiplexes. Romania is the only European country with one cinema to 315,000 inhabitants.
Radu Beligan, at 95 the oldest actor in the world still working in theatre, received the Lifetime Achievement Award, while the director Nicolae Mărgineanu was awarded for his entire career.
