Leduc prepares an old Romanian thermal resort for renovation. A Roman fresco in a crypt delays the project, so he tries to burn it down. But he locks himself in a courtyard by mistake. He stays trapped for days, the neighborhood being deserted. He tries communicating with the few remaining residents and changes from a civilized being to a beast.
This is the second feature from Corneliu Gheorghiţă, a Romanian-born France-based documentary filmmaker who also directed Europolis (2010). Jean Samouillan wrote the script. This is one of the last projects of Alexandru Iclozan who passed away in 2013. He produced it through Ro de Film in coproduction with Jean-Pierre Gardelli and Danielle Ayroles through Milonga Productions.
The film was shot mostly in the Romanian resort Băile Herculane and also in Toulouse in 2012. The project received a production grant of 319,236 EUR/1.34m RON from the Romanian National Centre for Cinema in 2010.
