The film will be distributed by Discovery Film and Video Distribution in ex-Yugoslavia and by Mozinet Ltd in Hungary, the producer Ada Solomon told FNE.

German company Beta Cinema is handling the sales.

Aferim! was produced by Romania's Hi Film in coproduction with Bulgaria's Klas Film, Endorfilm from the Czech Republic and Romania's Mulberry Development, with the participation of Nu Boyana Film Studios, U-Film, Production XMG Media, Abis Studio and Division Camera. The film was made in association with EZ Films (France) and HBO Romania, with the support of Eurimages, Romanian National Film Center, Bulgarian National Film Center and the Czech Film Fund.

Aferim! will hit the Romanian cinemas on 13 March 2015 distributed by Micro Film together with Parada Film. The film will also open in Bulgaria on 13 March.
