The festival, organised by the Romanian Cultural Institute and the European Commission Representation in Romania, under the patronage of EUNIC and with the support of the embassies and cultural centres of the European Union countries, is one of the oldest film festivals in Romania.
The programme includes 10 European premieres, a retrospective of Tudor Giurgiu, short films from the Republic of Moldova and student films, the Romanian Day and three workshops about film criticism, film education and animation. A total of 56 films from 26 European countries will be screened in three locations in Bucharest: Cinema Studio, Cinema Pro and Cinema Elvira Popescu.
This year, Tudor Giurgiu is the festival's ambassador. The festival takes place in Bucharest, 7-14 May 2015, Craiova, 15-17 May 2015, Iasi and Targu Mures, 22-24 May 2015 and also in Hundeoara, 29-31 May 2015. The entrance is free of charge and the audience can vote for the Audience Award.
