The list includes students from Croatia (Jasmina Beširević), Serbia (Stefan Pavlovic), Hungary, Finland, Iran, Israel, Italy, Lebanon, UK, Romania (Iulia Stoian, Hedda Bernaszky, Miruna Minculescu, Rareș Hantiu) and Vietnam.
They will form four teams that will pitch, shoot and edit a 30 minute documentary supervised by tutors Thierry Garrel (France), Nino Kirtadze (Georgia) and John Appel (Holland). At the end of the workshop a jury of professionals will award a prize of 1,500 EUR to the best film.
Aristoteles Workshop was established by Romanian actor Dan Nutu and Cristina Hoffman (a former member of selection committees of the Berlin and Cannes festivals). Since 2006 many of the more than 140 participants of the workshop have made documentaries that were selected and awarded at important festivals such as Cannes, Locarno, Leipzig, Nyon, IDFA Amsterdam, Namur and Montpellier.
