FNE at 2018 TIFF Romanian Days: The Secret of Happiness

CLUJ-NAPOCA: Romanian actor Vlad Zamfirescu's directing debut feature The Secret of Happiness will screen in the Romanian Days competition of the 17th Transilvania IFF, running from 25 May to 3 June 2018. The film is a comedy based on a theatre play that Zamfirescu staged in Bucharest.

The script, written by Alexandru Popa based on his play, follows the twists and turns of a love triangle involving two friends who discover that one's happiness is the other's unhappiness.

The Secret of Happiness / Secretul fericirii is an independent production produced by Cristina Dobrițoiu through Movie Production Entertainment. The budget was 200,000 EUR, Dobrițoiu told FNE.

The film was shot in Bucharest in approximately three weeks in 2017.

Movie Production Entertainment will release it in cinemas in October 2018.
