UPC Romania launches new channels

    UPC has launched 14 new channels in Romania, becoming the operator with the most numerous channels available on digital platform as of June 1.

    UPC (www.upc.ro ) has launched four new TV channels - Music Channel, Balkanika MTV, Brava TV, Fishing & Hunting, and a supplement package with 10 TV Hungarian channels.

    UPC Panonia package, part of IKO Romania portfolio (member of IKO Media Group, operating in Central Europe), costs just under one Euro (without VAT), and can be reached in all 23 towns where UPC has launched the cable digital service last year, and in another four from mid-June.

    By adding these 14 channels UPC has now 114 digital TV channels available. UPC digital cable TV has almost 150,000 subscriptions in the whole country so far.
