He plans to shoot Lindenfeld in summer 2011 for 36 days in Transylvania. The story evolves around the character of Klaus Bernath, the wealthy son of the saxon village Lindenfeld, who decides to visit his birthplace after many years. Since the village has been deserted for many decades, his son and his biographer decide to reconstruct the whole space from scratch and present it as a real village.
The script was written by Lucian Dan Teodorovici and Florin Lăzărescu. It received a grant of 373,000 euro (1,600,000 RON) from the Romanian National Centre for Cinema (www.cncinema.abt.ro) this year.
Gabrea, who is producing the film through his company Total TV, told FNE that co-producers from Germany and Switzerland are interested in the project.
