Cityplex is managed by City Cinema Management which has three multiplexes in Romania. The company plans to open new multiplexes in Iaşi and Miercurea Ciuc in the near future, and another five multiplexes within the next seven years. In 2009, Cityplex (www.cityplex.ro) was the forth largest cinema operator in Romania with 325,417 admissions. The company reached 346,895 admissions in the first 10 months of 2010.

Cityplex was founded in 2006 and operatess four screens in Bucharest, four in Constanţa and three in Braşov. It is managed by Romanian producer Ada Solomon, who also runs HiFilm Production. Producer Tudor Giurgiu from Libra Film (www.librafilm.net) is also involved in the management of Cityplex. This is the only Romanian partnership in the exhibition field. The other operators on the local market are Cinema City (www.cinemacity.ro), Hollywood Multiplex (www.hmultiplex.ro) and The Light Cinemas (www.lightcinemas.ro/cinemas).
