Viorel is in love with a girl who doesn't love him and Goose tries to fly a hang glider that doesn't fly. Their ceaseless longing is the only hope they have in a grim world.
The film is a Romanian production from Alexandru Teodorescu and Saga Film (www.sagafilm.ro). The project received a MEDIA development grant as well as a production grant of €300,000 from the Romanian National Centre for Cinema (www.cncinema.abt.ro).
The editing is taking place in Bucharest, at Chainsaw Europe (www.chainsaweurope.com), the sound will be done by Raza Studio (www.razastudio.ro), and the Dolby mixage in Budapest, at Focus Fox Studio (www.focusfox.hu). Dana Bunescu (4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days, The Autobiography of Nicolae Ceauşescu) is editing. Corneliu Porumboiu (Police, Adjective) and Igor Cobileanski wrote the script.
Shooting took place in the Republic of Moldova in autumn 2010 with Oleg Mutu (4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days) as DOP and Adrian Suruceanu as art director. The young actors Igor Babiac and Sergiu Voloc play the two boys. The cast includes Ela Ionescu, Igor Caras and Angela Ciobanu.
The postproduction is expected to be complete in summer 2010. The local premiere has been delayed and is now rescheduled for spring 2012.
