BUCHAREST: Haluk Kurcer has replaced Hatice Kolat as the general manager of the channel Kanal D (www.kanald.ro). Kolat had run the channel since February 2007, with a mandate until 2011. Kurcer, executive board member Dogan Group, became the country manager when the former CEO, Pavel Stanchev, left the company in January 2010.
Kanal D is a part of Dogan Media International trust, a subsidiary of Dogan Yayin Holding group (http://www.dmg.com.tr/tr/), a leader on the Turkish media market.
The channel received a license from the National Audiovisual Council of Romania (www.cna.ro) in January 2007. The Swiss media group Ringier (www.ringier.ro) has a 25% share in the channel.
The Film New Europe (FNE) Association is the networking platform for film professionals in the CEE/SEE/Baltics region.
