Adalbert's Dream/Visul lui Adalbert is a 100% Romanian production between Gabriel Achim and Green Film (www.greenfilm.ro) and Monica Lazurean-Gorgan and 4 Proof Film (www.4prooilm.rffo ). Dan Burlac is the delegate producer. The budget is 600,000 euro.
The project received a grant of 190,000 euro from the National Centre for Cinema (www.cncinema.abt.ro ) last year and is also supported by UniCredit Ţiriac (www.unicredit-tiriac.ro ), Loteria Română (www.loto.ro ) and Digital Cube (www.digitalcube.ro ). The project participated in the Connecting Cottbus Co-production Market in 2008, Crossroads Co-production Forum Thessaloniki IFF 2009, Atelier d'Angers - Jeanne Moreau 2009, Works in Progress Thessaloniki IFF 2010 and won the Baltic Event Co-production Market at Tallinn IFF in 2009.
The script written by Achim and Cosmin Manolache is based on the true story of a work accident's re-enactment which develops into a new accident The DOP George Chiper shot the entire film with an S-VHS camera. Cristian Nicolescu and Stefan Tatu are editing. The cast includes Gabriel Spahiu, Doru Ana, Ozana Oancea, Mimi Brănescu and Anca Androne. Postproduction is taking place at Digital Cube in Bucharest.
