PRODUCTION: Fine, Thanks in Postproduction

BRATISLAVA: Slovak director Matyas Prikler is in the sound mixing stage with Fine, Thanks, a film investigating the way the financial crisis is affecting the intimate lives of the people, revealing a severe picture of their complicated relationships.

Fine, Thanks /Ďakujem, dobre consists of a prologue, three main stories, and an epilogue connected by the lead characters. The short film with the same title made by Prikler in 2010 will be the first part of it. This is his first feature.

Marek Leščák and Prikler wrote the script, and Prikler is producing through his company Philms (www.mphilms.sk). The budget is 350,000 Euro, Philms representatives told FNE. The project received a development grant of 23,600 Euro, a production grant of 200,000 Euro and a postproduction grant of 35,300 Euro from the Slovak Audiovisual Fund (www.avf.sk). The project is also supported by Litfond (www.litfond.sk).

Shooting took place inJune 2009, December 2010, January 2011, and May - June 2011 for 34 days. The film is expected to be finished in June 2012, and the premiere is set for August/September 2012. There is no sales agent attached to the project yet.
