“We will show the film at the Filmart in Hong Kong, the biggest film market in Asia, in March 2017. During the Berlinale Little Harbour received interest from Asian buyers from Japan, Taiwan, China and Korea and also from several European countries, including Italy, Poland and Scandinavia. We are now sending links to many distributors and festivals, and we hope to move on first sales before the next market, Cannes, where the film will be shown again”, producer Katarína Krnáčová told FNE.
Domestic pre-premiere is planned during MFFK Febiofest, which will be held in Bratislava from 2 to 8 March 2017.
Little Harbour is based on the award-winning contemporary novel by Monika Kompaníková The Fifth Boat / Piata loď, and follows two children, whose innocent play will change their lives. The main characters are played by Vanessa Szamuhelová, Matúš Bačišin, Johanna Tesařová and Katarína Kamencová.
The film was produced by Hulapa film, Ltd. in coproduction with endorfilm, Katapult Film, Silverart and RTVS. It was supported by the Slovak Audiovisual Fund, MEDIA Programme, the Czech State Cinematography Fund, Eurimages, Bratislava Self-Governing region and the Ministry of Culture of the Slovak Republic.
