A showcase of international and domestic animated films will include titles made within the past three years. The sidebar programme will present international guests including animated documentary filmmaker Paul Bush, a full-day workshop with puppet animator Barry Purves and Game Days organised for the fourth time as a part of the festival, which will feature big indie game names, upcoming talents and internationally-renowned creative studios. Game Days will be held in the cultural space of New Synagogue on 30 June and 1 July with the presence of ustwo art director David Fernández Huerta from the game scene’s phenomenon Monument Valley.
The official competition includes one domestic student title Chilli directed by Martina Mikušová and the Hungarian/Czech/Slovak coproduction Superbia directed by Luca Tóth. The CEE region is also represented by films from Bulgaria, Estonia, Poland, Romania and Slovenia.
