Boyacicoglu and Emre are best known on the international scene for their work producing film festivals including the Wheels (wwwlfestivalonwheels.org) and the Adana Golden Boll Film Festival (www.goldenbollfilmfestival.com).

The duo have already produced a short film compilation Tales from Kars and Boyacicoglu’s own Black and White which he also scripted and directed. But the Demirkubuz production marks the first time they have taken on the role of producers of another director’s feature project.

Boyacicoglu speaking after the packed premier of Inside which was the most anticipated film in the main competition said: “Basak and I have produced 28 film festival editions since 1998 but I prefer film production. After a film festival it fades away and it’s forgotten. When you produce a film it’s something that lasts.” Boyacicoglu said that he is already at work on a script for his next film which he also hopes to produce and direct.
