Since the comedy's opening on the eve of the Muslim Feast of Sacrifice, a national holiday in Turkey, the film has continued its ascent. The timing of the opening proved to be a wise decision. A.R.O.G became the fastest growing film in Turkish box-office history. It is just a matter of time before A.R.O.G. breaks the box-office record of Recep Ivedik, another Turkish comedy which cleared 4.3 million admissions during 31 weeks in release.
A.R.O.G is the most expensive movie in Turkish history with an approximate production budget of 7 million euros. The film's budget is reported to be around 8.5 million euros including all the publicity costs. The film, distributed by UIP, is running in Turkey with 406 prints and 685 screens. It is simultaneously released by Maxximum Film in Germany, Holland, Belgium, Sweden, Austria, Denmark, England and France with 106 prints.
