The cast of Turkish comedy actors includes freshman Cem Yilmaz, veteran Sener Sen and Okan Yalabik, known for his detective characters in TV series. Popular TV actors Cetin Tekindor and Melisa Sozen are also involved.
Turgul, a filmmaker with 30 years of experience, is the author of Eskiya (The Bandit, 1996), one the top 10 box office grosses in Turkey. Before Hunting Season, Turgul and Sener Sen have worked in three films together.
Hunting Season is a co-production of Fida Film (www.fidafilm.com) and Pro Film (www.arzufilm.com). The executive producer is Murat Akdilek. The budget has not yet been released.
The film opens in Turkey on 3 December 2010 with Warner Bros. Turkey distributing.
