Second session of the International Academy of the Document Dragon Forum, devoted to topics connected with documentary film production, is to start at the 11th of April. Participants will develop the production side of their projects. Session will take place in The Mazovia Region Centre of Culture and Art in Warsaw.

Śladkowski Masterclass.
How to find a good film hero? How to work with him and survive?
These questions will be answered by the author of “Vodka Factory”
, “Swedish Tango” and many other awarded documentary films.

18.30 - “International Financing of the Docs”
The
lecture held by Marijke
Rawie (Holland) and Dorota Roszkowska
(Poland) covering description of methods of fundrising for film
realization as well as presentation of forms of collaboration with
organizations supporting documentary production. The lecture is intended for
all those who want to go deeper in mysteries of efficient financing of
projects in audivisual sector with special focus on documentary film.
Thursday, April 12, 16.00 - “Festival Policy of
Major Doc Festival”
The lecture held by Rada
Sesic (Holland) about selection strategy of major festivals
of documenatry films.
Friday, April 13, 16.00 - “Różyckiego Bazar
Marketplace Project”
The lecture devoted to the project about famous and historical
Warsaw Marketplace “Bazar Różyckiego”. This innovative
documentary project will be presented by its author, Marek Miller (Poland) , head of
Documentary Dept. at Warsaw University
Tutors and Experts:
1. Marijke Rawie – expert of documentary films
development. Worked also as a head of documentary department at Dutch TV
station AVRO.

Dorota
Roszkowska – producer, documentary film
expert at MEDIA programme, member of European Film Academy.

Rada Sesić – selectioner of leading film festivals as
in Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Sarajevo and Jaipur
4.
Jerzy
Śladkowski – director of number of documentary films
awarded at many festivals and screened in TV stations around the world,
awarded in 1996 by EFA for the contribution to the development of European
documentary. His film “Vodka Factory” received Golden Pigeon
Prize at DOK Leipzig
Festival in 2010.

Dragon Forum invites observers!
Authors of synopsis, scripts, trailers or works-in-progress are invited to take part in the Second Session of Dragon Forum 2012 as observers. They will be given opportunity to consult their projects with Dragon Forum experts in view of upcoming deadlines of submitting project for MEDIA Program and Polish Film Institute supports.
The accreditation fee is 200 PLN plus additionally 35 PLN per day per person.

Call Open for the Dragon Forum Pitching in Krakow!
We remind you the call for the pitching of documentary film
projects, which will be held from 30 May till 3 June during the 52nd Krakow
Film Festival. The Dragon Forum will host TV stations’ commissioning
editors, regional film funds’ representatives, distributors and
producers from around the world.
How to submit a
project for the pitching?
1. Fill in the on-line application form available on
the Dragon
Forum web-page – no later than 26.04.2012
2. Print the submitted application form, attach
the film trailer in DVD format and send it by regular mail no later than 26.04.2012 to the address:
