World Premiere of LASTING by Jacek Borcuch at 2013 Sundance

    The latest film by Polish helmer Jacek Borcuch will have its world premiere in World Dramatic Competition at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival, which runs from the 17th to the 27th of January, 2013 in Park City, Utah.

    Lasting is an emotional love story about Michał and Karina, a pair of Polish students who meet and fall in love with each other while working summer jobs in Spain. An unexpected nightmare brutally breaks into their carefree time in the heavenly landscape and throws their lives into chaos.

    Jacek Borcuch has written and directed four feature films including TuLIPS and Caulliflowerr. His third film All That I Love was a breakout success at 2010 Sundance Film Festival. It has won numerous prizes at international festivals, has been shown in cinemas in more than fifteen countries, and has been Poland’s official Oscar® entry in 2011.

    Lasting was produced by Mañana - a production arm of a Polish film distribution and promotion company AP Mañana. Since its founding by Piotr Kobus in 2001 AP Mañana has worked with films by eminent authors of world cinema including Semih Kaplanoğlu, Claudia Llosa, Ashgar Farhadi, Brillante Mendoza, Lisandro Alonso, Apichatpong Weerasethakul, Álex de la Iglesia, Jia Zhang-ke, Alejandro Jodorowsky, and Jasmila Žbanić among others. Mañana’s mission is to develop outstanding feature fiction and documentary films for cinema in co-production with foreign partners.
