8th edition of Film Spring Open-Ait will take place in Krakow between 26th May and 5th June.

TIRED OF WAITING
This year at Film Spring Open-Air we encourage filmmakers to make a Previs, a draft of their full-length feature film projects.
You devote your energy, talent and money to make short films. Instead at Film Spring Open-Air start making what you dream of, a project of your full-length feature film.
Next year we are planning pitching sessions and preview screenings of all your projects only for decision makers and producers.
FUTURE OF YOUNG EUROPEAN FILM PRODUCTION
Film Spring Open Foundation is currently working on a Cinebus, a vehicle to produce your film on the basis of a Previs in a new model of film production.
We are very happy to welcome from the UK, Mia Bays, an Oscar® winning and twice BAFTA nominated producer who created a micro-budget feature film scheme MICROWAVE for Film London and the BBC. Apart from over 20-years experience in distribution and production Mia teaches regularly for the London Film School, National Film School, Film London and Skillset among others.
We are planning many discussions on how to facilitate a start of the career for emerging filmmakers.
DIGITAL POSTPRODUCTION
As every year at Film Spring Open-Air we will provide the newest tools for production and postproduction (film equipment, an editing room, and most of all specialists of digital postproduction).
Digital postproduction will be the main technical topic of Film Spring Open-Air. Apart from lectures and practical classes for all interested participants, who would like to study it further, there will be a continuation of this workshop after the Open-Air.
INTERACTIVITY
As promised, we will continue the interactivity project which this time connects a couple of creative groups: Filmmakers (creators of emotions and dramaturgy, attractiveness of characters and storytelling film experts) + RPG/LARPO Groups (field games in which each participant plays a character experiencing its own complex story and making choices in a non-linear, largely improvised plot) + Programmers (IT specialists who try to find connections between computer science and cinema in need to move mechanics of computer adventure games into film industry, creating a prototype tool for building interactive non-linear videos).
SHORT FORMS AND NEW! MUSIC VIDEOS
As we all know good atmosphere helps to interact and above all helps to work together, from shooting till postproduction and editing of all participants films. Bring your scripts, organize yourselves in shooting groups and make short films at Film Spring Open-Air (both documentaries and fiction).
This year we will host groups making music videos on the basis of Previs. More information about this project soon!
FILM SPRING OPEN IS OPEN!
To sum-up Film Spring Open-Air 2013 program includes:
- Workshops on new technologies (presentation and tests of newest tools for production and postproduction),
- Documentary workshops (documentary film in new media),
- Workshops on digital postproduction,
- Presentations and lectures on animation and special effects,
- Cooperation of creative groups and a continuation of “Interactivity” project searching for a new format of a film show,
- Meetings with outstanding filmmakers to analyse production of their recent films,
- Workshops for producers about new opportunities for financing films in Europe,
- Future-oriented model of film production (for feature fiction films),
- Presentation of newest tools of film equipment (working on the set),
- Presentation of Cinebus a vehicle that meets the basic needs for shooting in a modern production of feature films.
