In late October, from 23rd to 27th, European film Promotion (EFP) will launch WESTWIND to the general public and industry at Moscow's 35mm Cinema. WESTWIND is a special European Film Showcase which incorporates screenings of eleven new films and networking opportunities for sales agents from Europe and local buyers.

EFP brings to Moscow's audiences recent films from eleven different European countries and cultures, presented by their stars or filmmakers to enhance the promotional effect and, additionally, offers panels for the public on filmmaking in Europe.

On the business side, the respective sales agents are in town with the help of Film Sales Support (FSS) to market the films to distributors and buyers. With WESTWIND, which is financially supported by the MEDIA Programme of the European Union and the participating EFP member organisations, EFP takes advantage of the huge developing Russian market and its potential for the diversity of films coming from Europe.
