The Jihlava International Documentary Film Festival announces that submissions to the DOCU TALENTS FROM THE EAST 2016 - a presentation of the finest Central and Eastern European creative documentary projects in the stages of production or post-production - are now open.
Organized and curated by the Jihlava IDFF in cooperation with the Karlovy Vary IFF, this prominent event will feature twelve carefully selected feature-length documentaries that are planned for theatrical distribution between August 2016 to July 2017.
Each year, leading film professionals attending the Karlovy Vary IFF are invited to the event. The 12 selected documentary projects will be introduced by the director and the producer in eight-minute presentations, including three-minute long trailers. Filmmakers will then have a chance to meet audiences, festival programmers, distributors and journalists at an informal cocktail party, as well as attend closed consultations with selected film professionals.
The 12th edition of DOCU TALENTS FROM THE EAST will take place on July 5 at 14.00 at Hotel Thermal, during the Karlovy Vary IFF.
"This event is essential for anyone who wants to be aware of what is new on the documentary scene in Central and Eastern Europe", says Jarmila Outratová, Head of Jihlava's Industry Office.
