EFP (European Film Promotion) presents Europe's most promising, acting talent during a top-class online programme from 23 - 25 February 2021,  with a series of profile-raising events, culminating in the European Shooting Stars Award Ceremony at this year's Berlinale summer events.

During our Kick-off show, the 10 EUROPEAN SHOOTING STARS of 2021 will be introduced in a 60 minute 'in conversation' session hosted by Britsh broadcaster Edith Bowman.The Stars will be joined by special alumni guests Game of Thrones' Pilou Asbaek and The Undoing's Matilda De Angelis. Nicolas Maury, France Nicolas has worked with numerous acclaimed directors, from Olivier Assays to Yann Gonzalez, but is currently best known for his breakout role in the smash-hit series CALL MY AGENT!. In 2011, he was nominated for the Most Promising Actor César for his part in Mikael Buch's LET MY PEOPLE GO!. Fionn O'Shea, Ireland Debuting with the Oscar-nominated short NEW BOY, Fionn recieved two Irish Film & TV Award nominations for his first feature film HANDSOME DEVIL, and has since been chosen as one of Screen’s Stars of Tomorrow. Žygimante Elena Jakštaite, Lithuania Žygimante is a prolific stage actor, with over 20 theatre roles, including major productions at the National Theatre of Lithuania and the Vilnius City Theatre. She started her film career in 2017, and recently won her first leading role in the upcoming Lthuanian-Czech feature co-production RUNNER by the award-winning Andrius Blaževicius, due to be released in 2021. read more

Martijn Lakemeier, The Netherlands Martijn is the youngest ever winner of a Golden Calf Award for Best Actor for his debut WINTER IN WARTIME, which was shortlisted for the Best Foreign Language Oscar. Sara Klimoska, Republic of North Macedonia Sara has successfully straddled the worlds of theatre and film on a national and international level, with recent film roles including WOULD YOU LOOK AT HER, which won the Jury Prize for Best International Short at Sundance, and WILLOW, nominated at the European Film Awards. She will next be seen in Focus Features’ title YOU WON’T BE ALONE opposite Noomi Repace, due out in 2021.read more

Alba Baptista, Portugal Alba has recently been named one of IMDb’s Top Breakout Stars of 2020. Her early credits include EQUINÓCIO by Ivo Ferreira and FATIMA opposite Harvey Keitel.
