Producers and directors interested in having their film included in Works in Progress 2023 must apply by no later than January 31, 2023.

Your film must meet the following requirements:

    The film must be in late stage of production (only in case of documentaries), post-production or just finished
    The film must be over 60 minutes in length
    Synopsis/annotation
    Head info: Directors/Producer/Creative departments
    Running time
    Country of origin
    Please send us the whole film/rough cut or up to 20 minutes exert.

The 20th Sofia Meetings will take place from 23rd till 26th March 2023 in the framework of the 27th Sofia International Film Festival (16th – 26th March 2023).

Sofia Meetings  is an event, supported by Creative Europe MEDIA sub-programme of the  European Commission, EA Bulgarian National Film Center and Sofia  Municipality.

It has two separate modules:

Feature Films Pitching  – presentation of first, second and third feature fiction film projects  of the director, looking for co-producers, sales and distribution.

Works in Progress  – a showcase of the latest Bulgarian and regional feature and short  films; Screenings of works by filmmakers whose projects have been  presented at Sofia Meetings. The screenings are for professionals:  for directors and programmers of international film festivals, sales  companies and distributors; some of them are also for journalists.
