    GLOWING /CZ/
director: Martin Páv, editor: Hedvika Hansalová, producer: Zuzana Kučerová

Taking place in New Delhi, Nairobi, and Seoul, the film tells stories of six protagonists from different cultural, as well as socio-economic back-grounds, who share one thing in common – in order to glow, they apply various skin-lightening products.

Little did I know then that it would turn into one of the greatest adventures of my life, lasting over a decade. 'Candidates of Death' is a film about the power of great friendship, growing up, our fears, dreams, and plans, set against the backdrop of a grand cinematic adventure spanning decades.

In a village in the east of Slovakia, a group of young adults and kids run a sanctuary for abused and handicapped animals—so called “farmed” animals, which can live a free social life here and grow old peacefully. However, they have to deal with a lack of understanding and narrow-minded legislation. Fortunately, they have each other and create a sanctuary not only for animals but also for people.

Together with her equally free-spirited family, she forms a mosaic of creativity, individuality, and bold extravagance.
