Are pitching forums outdated? Are those seven precious minutes to pour your heart out becoming too expensive and too uncertain in the results? To be fair, pitching forums are still the fast track to build up your international network and reputation. But they are becoming more of a place to promote yourself and your company instead of nailing down commitments for your next film.

Change, as usual in these years, is coming from the web. Could new digital platforms play a role when promoting your new documentary proposal or selling your film? VIRTUALLY YOURS will examine how the digital world is changing the way we promote our ideas but also the way we make and market our films.

WANT TO BE OUR GUINEA PIG?
We already know how to write a 2-page proposal for the broadcaster or how to edit a 3-minute trailer for a pitching forum. Does the same material work if you're promoting your project online? We will select one producer with a documentary project to be our guinea pig and ask our experts to demonstrate how that material should be modified for Facebook, YouTube, reelisor or other digital platforms.
