"Asterix at the Olympic Games" hits No.1 at the Polish Box Office!
138,949 viewers saw „Asterix at the Olympic Games" during the first weekend of screening at Polish cinemas. „Asterix at the Olympic Games" is No.1 movie of the Polish Box Office having twice as many viewers then the second best movie. „Asterix at the Olympic Games" is also the best opening in SPI history, the previous feature film about the brave Gauls, "Asterix and Obelix: Mission Cleopatre" opened with 97,700 viewers.
„Asterix at the Olympic Games" achieved better opening result then other movies released in Poland this year targeted at similiar audience: „Enchented" opened at 108,800, „Alvin and the Chipmunks" - 49,035 viewers.

„Asterix at the Olympic Games" is the biggest ever European production. This time Asterix and Obelix take part in the Olympic Games in order to help their friend Romantix to win the games and marry his beloved princess Irina. The great sensation was the decision of Alain Delon, who accepted the part of Cesar - it is his first movie since 1996. The part of Brutus, Cesar's son, is taken by Benoit Poelvoorde, a Belgian comedian, whose performance overwhelmed the crowds. Gerard Depardieu is Obelix and the Ceaser Winner, Clovis Cornillac - Asterix.
The Polish viewers loved the „Asterix at the Olympic Games" fantastic dubbing. The Polish version of Peter et Sloane song „Besoin de rien, envie de toi" performed by Borys Szyc became extremely popular all over the country, quotes from the other actors are cited on internet blogs and forum.
